The Next Big Hardcore Raid Challenge – Molten Core
The OnlyFangs guild is gearing up for its most ambitious raid yet—Molten Core in WoW Classic Hardcore on February 1st, 2025. This run will be a true test of survival, skill, and coordination, featuring a roster of top-tier streamers, veteran raiders, and fresh recruits looking to prove themselves.
Tyler1 & Sodapoppin – The Tank Duo
For the first time in OnlyFangs raid history, both Tyler1 and Sodapoppin will be tanking the raid together.
- Tyler1: Aggressive, high-energy, brute-force playstyle.
- Sodapoppin: More methodical, strategic, and meme-driven approach.
This chaotic tank duo is set to make the raid both entertaining and unpredictable, ensuring this will be one of the most hyped Classic WoW Hardcore raids to date.
A New Challenge – 30 Non-Sweats in the First Raid
Unlike previous OnlyFangs Molten Core runs, this time 30 of the 40 raiders will be non-sweats (players with little to no prior Molten Core experience).
- Definition of a “Sweat”: If you’ve raided Molten Core in Classic WoW (since 2019), you’re considered a sweat.
- First Raid Composition: 10 sweats, 30 non-sweats.
- Subsequent Raids: More experienced players will be allowed in (up to 20 sweats per raid).
This means more chaos, higher stakes, and a much tougher challenge compared to the past.
The Goal – A Deathless Molten Core Clear
The ultimate objective? Clear Molten Core without a single death.
- New Rotating Raid Leaders System: Soda & Tyler lead the first raids, but leadership will rotate weekly.
- Previous Hardcore MC Run: Deathless Ragnaros kill was achieved.
- This Run: With newer players and an unconventional raid comp, the challenge has been significantly increased.
- No Paladin Buffs (Horde-side): Making Onyxia and Core Hound fights harder.
- Limited World Buffs: Only Onyxia buff for MC; no DMT buff, no ZG/AQ20 gear.

Preparation & Farming Efforts
- Potion Responsibility: Players must farm their own potions for sustainability.
- Attunements: MC & Onyxia attunements must be completed before Feb 1st.
- Hydraxian Rep Grind: Needed to douse MC flames and reach Ragnaros.
- Material Donations:
- Urgent Needs: Gromsblood (27% collected, need 3,600), Grave Moss (25%), Ghost Mushrooms (30%).
- Rewards: Players donating materials are being awarded FKP points.
