OnlyFangs 3: Is It Still Happening? Latest Update

OnlyFangs.me

Updated September 2026

OnlyFangs 3 was expected to bring Sodapoppin’s streamer-only World of Warcraft guild back for another Hardcore run — this time in The Burning Crusade.

Those plans have changed.

OnlyFangs 3 is not currently going ahead as a TBC Hardcore event. The project was postponed indefinitely after testing and discussion around TBC showed that its difficulty would make the format extremely difficult to run with the mix of experienced WoW players and newcomers that made previous OnlyFangs seasons so entertaining.

That doesn’t necessarily mean OnlyFangs 3 is dead.

Here’s where things currently stand.

Is OnlyFangs 3 Happening?

There is currently no confirmed start date for OnlyFangs 3.

Earlier in 2026, Sodapoppin was actively exploring a third season based around The Burning Crusade Hardcore. Plans became serious enough that the format, rules, factions and potential participants were being discussed.

However, those plans were ultimately put on hold.

In March 2026, it emerged that OnlyFangs 3 would not go ahead with the planned TBC format and would instead be postponed indefinitely.

So if you’re searching for an OnlyFangs 3 release date: there isn’t one right now.

Why Was OnlyFangs 3 Postponed?

The biggest problem was TBC itself.

OnlyFangs works because it combines experienced World of Warcraft players with streamers who may have little or no serious WoW experience.

Hardcore makes their mistakes matter: one death can end an entire character.

That formula worked extremely well in Classic, but TBC introduces substantially more complicated and punishing PvE encounters.

During testing, concerns grew that TBC Hardcore would simply be too unforgiving for the type of roster OnlyFangs attracts.

Instead of producing the controlled chaos of previous seasons, difficult dungeon and raid mechanics could result in inexperienced players repeatedly dying or entire groups being wiped.

Making the event viable might therefore require filling the guild with experienced WoW players — which would remove much of what makes OnlyFangs interesting in the first place.

The decision was therefore made not to force an OnlyFangs season into a version of WoW that didn’t suit the concept.

What Happened to the TBC Hardcore Plan?

Earlier plans for OnlyFangs 3 were considerably more ambitious.

Sodapoppin had experimented with TBC Hardcore and discussed ideas including:

  • Horde versus Alliance competition
  • Separate faction leadership
  • Tightly controlled progression
  • A streamer-focused roster
  • Starting later in the TBC content cycle
  • Hardcore deaths without arguments or loopholes

There was even discussion about delaying the event so more TBC raid content would already be available.

Those plans should now be considered shelved rather than upcoming features.

Unless the situation changes, OnlyFangs 3 will not be the TBC Hardcore season that was originally being planned.

When Could OnlyFangs 3 Return?

That’s now the big question.

There is currently no confirmed replacement format or start date.

The most obvious possibility would be a future version of World of Warcraft that gives OnlyFangs something genuinely new to work with while remaining suitable for Hardcore gameplay.

That could potentially mean another fresh WoW environment or some future form of Classic content.

For now, however, anything beyond the postponement is speculation.

Until Sodapoppin announces a new plan, there is no confirmed game version, server, roster or release date for OnlyFangs 3.

Will Sodapoppin Be Involved?

If OnlyFangs returns, Sodapoppin would naturally be expected to remain at the centre of it.

Previous OnlyFangs seasons have been built around his organization of the guild, its rules and its streamer roster.

But because Season 3 currently has no confirmed format or date, there is no final participant list.

Any lists claiming to show a confirmed OnlyFangs 3 roster should therefore be treated cautiously.

Is OnlyFangs 3 Cancelled?

The most accurate description is indefinitely postponed.

The planned TBC Hardcore version isn’t happening, but that is different from saying there will never be another OnlyFangs season.

The concept remains enormously popular and a third season could make sense when the right version of WoW — and the right timing — comes along.

For now:

OnlyFangs 3 release date: Not announced
TBC Hardcore OnlyFangs: Postponed
Confirmed streamer roster: None
Sodapoppin involved: Expected if the project returns
New format: Not announced

Latest OnlyFangs 3 Status

As of September 2026, fans are still waiting for the next concrete announcement.

The important change since the original OnlyFangs 3 plans is that TBC Hardcore is no longer the expected format.

We’ll update this page when Sodapoppin confirms new information about the event, including a new format, start date or streamer roster.
